Esh Village is situated in the north east of England, about five miles west-north-west of Durham City, and is surrounded by green fields, farmland, and stunning views across the neighbouring valleys and woodland. 

The village is home to a vibrant community, with two churches, St Michael & All Angels and Esh Laude RC, two schools, Esh Church of England Primary School and St Michael’s Esh Laude RC Primary School, and a popular pub, The Cross Keys.
